Chuseok cont.

Hi! Here are more pics from the rest of Chuseok. Katy and I joined two other foreign teachers and headed to the east coast on Monday. We took a three and half hour bus ride through the countryside to Mangsang Beach. The beach was empty, which was lovely, due to the holiday. We found a room for a couple of nights and I spent the most of the time next to the ocean (made me think of you Erin!) It was wonderfully relaxing. . .The highlight and lowlight of the trip was our first meal in the town- Katy was so kind to order us some rice, veggies, and octupus- octupus that unfortanetly (for me- and I think the poor little bugger) was still moving- Our friends were braver than me and swallowed it down- I must admit I whimped out- maybe next time. The sunrise over the East Sea (Sea of Japan) the first morning.
There were hundreds and hundreds of seashells scattered on the beach, plus a shot of the water.
The second morning we watched the sunrise again- this time we had to wait for it to pop up over the clouds- well worth it for sure.

Lastly- we explored a cave located in Donghae- discovered sometime in the 1990's- some very narrow passage ways- but mostly cool views of stalacites and stalagmites. Gotta love the helmets- we were just missing the headlamps!
